For the first time in India, M Auto would be introducing 4000 electric autos in Namma Chennai in different phases by the end of the year, and all of them would be driven by female chauffers. This would be a major leap towards two causes -- women empowerment and environmental protection. Chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswamy recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M Auto at Dubai stating that the government will provide all the support in terms of charging stations, manufacturing units and lot others. M Auto is the first to receive a license for such operation from the government. The project involves an investment of about 100 crores.
